Presser said that Lohan is struggling with life behind bars and cant stand the taunts from inmates who share the same area of Lynwood Correctional Facility in California, reports imdb. She claims that inmates who live in the cells closest to her can hear her sobbing. "Lindsay would lie there shivering all night, crying and covering her face with her hands. Her wailing was keeping everyone awake... She had a hysterical fit, crying and yelling, so she got put in isolation," Presser said. However, Lohans lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley insists, "She has made friends and the deputies have treated her respectfully (and she them)." Lohan surrendered to authorities and began her 90-day jail stint last week. Her time has already been cut short and she is expected to be released Aug 2.

Sabkush Lifestyle News: Is your life like a sitcom?.Is your life like a sitcom?

They may be fantasy living in a make-believe world, but the characters of popular friendship based English sitcoms seem to have traversed fiction for fans, who are picking up tips ranging from dealing with a bad day at work to falling in love. Vanshika Nevatia (21), a law student studying in Mumbai, says she is a fan of the sitcom How I met your Mother and discussed it with all her friends after watching the episodes. Four back-to-back seasons of the show stirred Nevatia to share a day with them playing "laser tag" (game), just as the characters did. "We had so much fun there! Pretending to be like Barney and Robin (characters) and all." Nevatia is part of a successive generation of young adults who identify with English sitcoms (or situational - comedies for their constant characters, comic situations and repartees) which are a staple of their television or Internet viewing. "Its kind of growing up with them (the characters)," says Tanya Bhatnagar (23) who has been following her favourite sitcom Friends since nearly a decade. Terming the situations portrayed as "our issues" she says, "Had I been in their place, I would have done the same thing." A majority of English sitcoms currently airing on Indian television have friendship as an integral part of the storylines. Contrarily, their Hindi counterparts run on family or community-living storylines. "You have special people in your life to share your lifes ups and downs with... You dont run around to your parents...That is good!," says Bhatnagar, who lives with her parents in Delhi. "The characters are living alone, they are not living with their parents and they are pursuing a career...very diligently," says Udhav Sureka (23),who hails from Kanpur and is pursuing a career in Delhi. "I pick up so many things about work ethics, about work situations from the show." The sitcoms have take-aways on love relationships too. Kim Remmawi (24) began watching Sex and the City in college and is "pretty clear about what is television and what is real life. " "Its all about the right timing," she says on the one thing she has learnt from the show. Like her preferred character, she says, "When it comes to my other guy relationships, Im like its alright, whatever, let it be." Fans say they sometimes adopt the mannerisms of their favourite characters too. "If I want to say something, I would think How would JD(character) say it?" says Sureka, a fan of Scrubs. Meanwhile Nevatia says,"I have seen so many people trying to ape the characters. They start using words like awesome and legendary(used by characters)...in their conversations, in their messages, in their e-mails. " Carving a niche, sitcoms have reached viewers who are experiencing a rapidly changing lifestyle. "We depend on our imagination- as in how would it be if we were living that life and its something which most of us want to achieve," says Sureka.

Sabkush Lifestyle News: Tara Reid.

Sabkush Lifestyle News: Tara Reid.Tara Reid

Reid began acting at age nine, being a regular on the game show Childs Play, and appeared in over 100 commercials including Jell-O, McDonalds, Crayola and Milton Bradley. As a teenager, she was on Saved By The Bell: The New Class and on All My Children. After moving to Hollywood in 1997, Reid transitioned to movies, landing her break out role in 1998s The Big Lebowski, a cult favorite, and her first #1 box office role. She finished the year by appearing in two more box office toppers, Cruel Intentions and Urban Legend. In 1999, Reid portrayed the role of virginal Vickie in the wildly successful film, American Pie, which grossed over $102,000,000 in United States box office receipts and becoming her fourth #1 in a row. Between 2000 and 2002, Reid starred in a string of unsuccessful movies, such as Josie and the Pussycats and Dr. T and the Women. In 2001 and 2002, she reclaimed her box office success with American Pie 2 and National Lampoons Van Wilder, alongside Ryan Reynolds. She returned to the small screen as a re-occurring character on the NBC sitcom, Scrubs, appearing in 11 episodes of Season 3. From 2003 through 2005, Reid appeared in two movies (My Bosss Daughter and Alone in the Dark), both panned by critics. In January 2007, Reid filmed a commercial with Daniel Conn for Dodo, an Australian budget telephone and Internet provider. In 2005, Reid signed on to host the E! Channels Wild On Tara Reid (later renamed Taradise), a program that showcased high society vacations and hot spots. The show aired in October 2005 and was cancelled in February 2006, due to poor ratings, with only 8 of the 14 episodes aired. Reids new film called The Fields is scheduled to be released in 2011. Reid also has designed a clothing line with Ed Hardy designer, Christian Audigier, entitled Mantra, which will hit high end department stores in 2009. Topless photos of Reid appeared in a pictorial in the January/February 2010 issue of Playboy, although earlier reports had indicated she had posed nude for the magazine. Reid was romantically linked to Carson Daly starting in early 2000.[citation needed] Daly made a cameo appearance in, Josie and the Pussycats (also starring Reid), in which he jokes while attempting to kill Reids character that the two could have had a romantic relationship given different circumstances. In June 2001, Reid and Daly broke off their engagement.[5] She had previously dated Russian hockey star Sergei Fedorov.[6] Reid also engaged in a short relationship with a Massachusetts native named Pat Hill. The two met while Hill was deployed in the USANG to Curacao and Reid was filming her "Wild On" show with E television. On the night of November 4, 2004, photographs surfaced of Reid from the red carpet at Puff Daddys 35th birthday party at Ciprianis Restaurant in New York City, when her dress fell, exposing her left breast. In October 2006, Reid acknowledged in an interview with Us Weekly that she had liposculpting.[7] In the interview she discusses how her plastic surgery "went wrong" and also explains why she decided to have plastic surgery done, saying that her breasts were uneven and that she wanted a "six pack" for a new movie role. The liposuction resulted in deformity. In the same interview, Reids new plastic surgeon, Dr. Steven Svehlak, reported that he performed a procedure called a "doughnut mastopexy" to correct her original augmentation, and performed additional liposuction in hopes to even out her stomach. On January 18, 2010 Reids boyfriend Michael Axtmann, an internet entrepreneur from Nuremberg, proposed to her at The Little Door restaurant in Los Angeles. The couple had reportedly planned an intimate ceremony for summer 2010. [8] However, in April 20, it was reported that the wedding had been called off and her relationship with Axtmann had ended, with a representative stating: "Tara Reid has confirmed that she will not be moving forward with her May 22 nuptials."

Sabkush Lifestyle News: Zooey Deschanel.Zooey Deschanel

Zooey Claire Deschanel (pronounced /'zo?.i de???'n?l/; born January 17, 1980) is an American actress, musician, and singer-songwriter. In 1999, Deschanel made her film debut in Mumford, followed by her break out role as young protagonist William Millers troubled older sister Anita in Cameron Crowes 2000 semi autobiographical film Almost Famous. Deschanel soon became known for her deadpan supporting roles in films such as Elf (2003), The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (2005) and Failure to Launch (2006). She then began playing lead roles in films, including Yes Man (2008) and (500) Days of Summer (2009). For a few years starting in 2001, Deschanel performed in the jazz cabaret act If All the Stars Were Pretty Babies with fellow actress Samantha Shelton[1]. She plays keyboards, percussion, banjo and ukulele, and has sung in several of her films. Deschanels debut album Volume One (recorded with M. Ward under the moniker She & Him) was released on March 18, 2008. The follow up album Volume Two was released in the U.S. on March 23, 2010. Zooey Deschanel, born in Los Angeles, California, is the daughter of cinematographer/director Caleb Deschanel and actress Mary Jo Deschanel (née Weir). She is of French and Irish descent.[2] She was named after Zooey Glass, the male protagonist of J. D. Salingers 1961 novella Franny and Zooey.[3] Her older sister Emily Deschanel is also an actress, and stars in the TV series Bones. Deschanel lived in lower Los Angeles, but spent much of her childhood traveling because her father shot films on location; she later said that she "hated all the traveling[...] Im really happy now that I had the experience, but at the time I was just so miserable to have to leave my friends in Los Angeles and go to places where they didnt have any food I liked or things I was used to."[4] She grew up in Canada, Yugoslavia, England and South Africa. She attended Crossroads, a private preparatory school in Santa Monica, California, where she befriended future co-stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Kate Hudson.[3] She sang throughout high school, planning to pursue a career in musical theatre.[2] She attended Northwestern University for seven months before dropping out to work as an actress.[4] [edit] Career [edit] Acting Deschanel appeared in a guest role on the television series Veronicas Closet before making her film debut in Lawrence Kasdans 1999 comedy Mumford, and later in the year she appeared (non-singing) in the music video for The Offsprings single "Shes Got Issues". In her second film, director Cameron Crowes semi-autobiographical Almost Famous (2000), Deschanel played Anita Miller, the protagonists rebellious older sister. The film received critical praise,[5] but was not a box office success. Deschanel played supporting roles in a series of films that included Manic (2001), with Don Cheadle and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Big Trouble (2002), with Tim Allen and Rene Russo, Abandon (2002) alongside Katie Holmes, Benjamin Bratt and Melanie Lynskey, and The Good Girl (2002) alongside Jennifer Aniston and Jake Gyllenhaal. In late 2002, The New York Times reported that Deschanel was "one of Hollywoods most sought-after young stars,"[3] and the Los Angeles Times wrote in early 2003 that Deschanel had become a recognizable type, due to "her deadpan, sardonic and scene-stealing [film] performances" as the protagonists best friend.[2] Deschanel objected to her typecasting, arguing, "A lot of these roles are just a formula idea of somebodys best friend, and its like, I dont even have that many friends. In high school, I stayed home all the time, so I dont know how Im everybodys best friend now."[2] Deschanel appeared in Frasier, starring as Rozs out-of-control cousin, Jen, in the Season 10 episode Kissing Cousin in 2002. That year she also appeared in the film The New Guy as Nora, the guitar player in the lead characters band, Suburban Funk. After turning down several supporting roles, Deschanel played her first lead role in All the Real Girls (2003). Her performance as Noel, a sexually curious 18-year-old virgin who has a life-changing romance with an aimless 22-year-old, received critical praise,[2] and she received an Independent Spirit nomination for Best Actress.[6] Later in 2003, Deschanel played a deadpan department store worker opposite Will Ferrell in the comedy

Karolà na Kurková was born in Decà n, Czechoslovakia, to Josef Kurka, a Czech basketball player, and a Slovak mother.[5] While Kurková was young, she was made fun of for her height.[6] But after a friend sent photos of Kurková to an agency in Prague, she - at 15[3] - landed a runway appearance, as well as a commercial and print advertising.[citation needed] She later traveled to Milan to gain more experience[5] and signed a modeling contract with Miuccia Prada.[7] In September 1999, Kurková appeared in the American edition of fashion and lifestyle magazine Vogue, and after moving to New York City at the age of 17, graced the cover of the February 2001 edition,[5] becoming one of the youngest models ever to appear on the magazines cover.[citation needed] [edit] Modeling career Following her Vogue cover, Kurková became recognized at haute couture fashion shows. Additionally, the lingerie brand Victorias Secret chose her to be a part of 2000s televised fashion show special, though she was only 16 at the time.[8] Prominent fashion houses such as Yves Saint Laurent signed Kurková to contracts, while print campaigns for Tommy Hilfiger, Valentino, Louis Vuitton, John Galliano, Chanel, Christian Dior, Hugo Boss, Versace, H&M, and others helped expose her even more. In the 2002 Victorias Secret fashion show, she wore the multi-million dollar fantasy bra, worth almost $10 million and designed by Hearts on Fire. Other runway credits of hers include Alberta Ferretti, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Calvin Klein, Carolina Herrera, Chanel, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Karl Lagerfeld, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren, Stella McCartney, and Vera Wang.[8] Kurková was named "Model of the Year" at the 2002 VH1/Vogue Fashion Awards, in part for her work ethic, having worked twenty-three weeks straight.[citation needed] Kurková has appeared in almost twenty Vogue magazine covers internationally, including the French, Italian, UK, German, Russian, Greek, and Korean editions, and has also appeared in international editions of Elle, Vanity Fair, and The Face. She has worked with noted fashion photographers like Steven Klein, Mario Sorrenti, and Mario Testino. After being contracted as a Victorias Secret Angel in 2005, she was featured in the 2006 Victorias Secret Fashion Show, showcasing the $6.5 million fantasy bra decked with almost 2000 diamonds weighing 800 carats and a centerpiece diamond brooch weighing 10 carats.[9] She is the only Angel besides Heidi Klum to model the fantasy bra twice.[citation needed] As an Angel, she received a star on the Hollywood "Walk of Fame" prior to the 2007 Victorias Secret Fashion Show, appeared on the February 2008 cover of Esquire, re-creating the classic 1966 Angie Dickinson cover for the magazines 75th anniversary, and was chosen as part of People magazines 100 most beautiful people in the world. In December 2007, she could be seen in print ads for Dell. In the last Cà a Marà tima fashion show, Kurkovás unexpectedly heavier physique brought criticism from the Brazilian press as having "too much back fat, love handles and cellulite".[10] Kurková is among the worlds top-earning models, having earned an estimated $5 million in the year 2007. She was placed 6th in the Forbes annual list of the highest earning models.[11][12] Kurková has a smooth indentation in place of a navel, and photographs are often altered by the addition of an image of a navel to hide this.[13] Kurková is represented by Viva Models Paris.[8] In November 2008, E! Entertainment Television voted her the worlds sexiest woman, beating the likes of Angelina Jolie, Scarlett Johansson, Gisele Bündchen, and her fellow Angels Heidi Klum and Adriana Lima

Grigorieva gained attention as a songwriter in 2006, after the song that she wrote, "Un Dia Llegara", became popular on the Josh Groban album, Awake.[2][4][5] Las Vegas Review-Journal highlighted "Un Dia Llegara" in particular in a review of Grobans album Awake, commenting, "Grobans most effective tunes tend to be his most unadorned, when he favors understatement over ostentation, such as on the flickering piano ballad Lullaby or the tremulous slow burn of Un Dia Llegara, with its touches of flamenco guitar."[6] Prior to singing "Un Dia Llegara" at a 2007 live performance, the song was "endorsed as a beauty" by Groban, in a statement to his fans.[7] In a review of Awake, the Philippine Daily Inquirer called "Un Dia Llegara" an "outstanding track".[8] Fred Shuster of Daily News of Los Angeles reviewed the album, and commented, "The gorgeous Un Dia Llegara, opening with a sweep of guitar, sets the mood for romantic highlights to come".[9] In 2009, Grigorievas music album Beautiful Heartache was released; Mel Gibson served as executive producer.[1] The album includes 11 tracks, and features a cover of the Russian song "Dark Eyes" and a collaboration with Charlie Midnight.[10] Beautiful Heartache was marketed as "grown-up, piano-led pop, heavy on classical motifs".[1] Grigorieva wrote the entire album, save for the song "Say My Name", which was co-written with Gibson.[11] "Say My Name" was included in the 2010 film, Edge of Darkness.[12] The song "Angel" was named for her son with Timothy Dalton, Alexander.[11] ABC News reported that Beautiful Heartache garnered the singer "rave reviews" from music critics.[13] Reuters commented of the album, "Beautiful Heartache features a collection of wistful love songs, blending shimmering string arrangements with pop and jazz-influenced arrangements that showcase Grigorievas soulful voice."[4] In a review of the album, Jack Foley of IndieLondon gave it a rating of 4 out of 5, and observed, "throughout, she displays a keen ear for melody, for honest emotional simplicity and classic values. She’s well worth taking the time to check out".[14] [edit] Personal life Grigorieva was married in 1989 to a fellow Russian.[15] In 1992, she married British artist Nicholas Rowland.[2][16] She had a relationship with actor Timothy Dalton, and the two married in 1997.[17] Grigorieva met Dalton while she was employed as a translator for filmmaker Nikita Mikhalkov.[2] Dalton and Grigorieva had a son together, Alexander.[1][17] Grigorieva was romantically involved with actor Mel Gibson,[18] and their daughter Lucia was born on October 30, 2009.[19] The couple separated in 2010.[20] In June 2010, Grigorieva obtained a restraining order against Gibson, stating he had physically assaulted her.[21] Gibson was barred from coming near Grigorieva or their daughter.[22] In July 2010, Gibson was identified as a possible suspect in a domestic violence investigation initiated after detectives spoke in Malibu to Grigorieva.[23][24] Grigorieva and Gibson are involved in a child custody dispute involving their daughter in a confidential court case in 2010

Sabkush Headlines: Wikileaks Plunges Political World Into TurmoilWikileaks Plunges Political World Into Turmoil

In whats been called the "biggest leak in intelligence history," more than 90,000 classified military documents about the war in Afghanistan came to light on Sunday and are wreaking havoc in political circles around the globe. Covering the period from January 2004 to December 2009, the reports were published Sunday by whistle-blowing site Wikileaks while analyses of the included material appeared simultaneously in The New York Times, The Guardian and German outlet Der Speigel. The documents reportedly include compelling evidence of widespread yet unreported abuses during the war. Evidence of War Crimes "There does appear to be evidence of war crimes in this material," Wikileaks founder Julian Assange told a news conference in London on Monday. "This is the equivalent of opening the Stasi archives." Also suggested in the material is that Pakistan has been helping the Afghan insurgency even as it receives funds from Washington for help combating the militants. While the documents "do not contradict official accounts of the war," The New York Times reported, they do in some cases "show that the American military made misleading public statements -- attributing the downing of a helicopter to conventional weapons instead of heat-seeking missiles or giving Afghans credit for missions carried out by Special Operations commandos," for example. Assange said that there is still much more material to come. Giving Aid and Comfort to the Enemy Meanwhile, many are voicing angry reactions -- not only political analysts and pundits, but also the Obama administration and Pakistani officials. "The Wikileaks release is The Pentagon Papers on steroids," wrote Rutgers University political scientist Ross Baker, for example. "This information is giving aid and comfort to the enemy and begins to look like WikiTreason." Similarly, "the United States strongly condemns the disclosure of classified information by individuals and organizations which could put the lives of Americans and our partners at risk, and threaten our national security," National Security Advisor Gen. James Jones said in a statement. The Pentagon has reportedly said it will take days or weeks to assess any damage caused by the leaks. How Many Millions of Lives May Be Protected? "People also said the Pentagon Papers were going to endanger soldiers," Andrew Rasiej, cofounder of the Personal Democracy Forum, told TechNewsWorld. "There are tradeoffs," Rasiej added. "Maybe some soldiers lives are endangered, but how many millions of peoples lives may be protected?" The real issue, however, "is that the Internet plays a role in collecting the information, distributing the information, and allowing the millions, if not billions, of eyeballs to check the informations veracity," Rasiej pointed out. "Wikileaks has expanded the idea of the town square to an exponential level." Irrevocably Broken The system governments have relied on to control information "is now irrevocably broken," added Micah Sifry, the Personal Democracy Forums editor. "Now they have to renegotiate -- they have to deal with a new factor." It used to be that governments could rely on direct control, stipulating that "these bits of information are not allowed to be published," for example, depending on the laws in different countries, Sifry explained. "Then they would also negotiate with the press in their own country in a sort of complicated ballet what the terms of that relationship were." Now, however, "you have a new player that essentially doesnt need access," he told TechNewsWorld. "Now we have a website that does not need access as long as it can demonstrate to potential leakers that theyre safe, and that the information they leak will generate an impact. "They seem to be succeeding on both those counts right now," Sifry added. The Most Edited Page Sifry plans to keep close tabs on the Wikipedia page dedicated to the War Logs, he said. "At the moment, its the most edited page in the last day," he pointed out. "What could happen there, along with the rest of the blogosphere, is the game of checking and double-checking the assertions around these documents," Sifry said. "In the best-case scenario, well see a lot of additional work done to figure out what the documents mean. In the worst case, well drown in the firehose" of information.

If Deepika Padukone is smiling a lot more these days and exuding a new confidence, it can be attributed to her last hit Housefull. But the model-turned-actress did not have it easy. She made a humble beginning in a Himesh Reshammiya video and got noticed by Farah Khan, who cast her in Om Shanti Om. But it was post Love Aaj Kal, believes the dusky actress, that she felt a growth in her career graph. “Aditya Chopra saw me in that and decided to cast me in Lafangey Parindey,” she says, adding that her role as Pinky Palkar in Pradeep Sarkar’s latest film is her most challenging one till now. “Playing a blind girl, who’s a dancer on skates wasn’t easy. I used to shoot a particular scene with my eyes closed and then re-shoot with my eyes open,” she reveals. It’s not just a great role that Deepika has acquired with this film, she’s formed a new dosti as well. Yes, her co-star Neil Nitin Mukesh and Deepika are the latest buddies in town and the actress is all praises for him. “Neil has been the most supportive and encouraging co-star so far,” she says and adds, “He’s been there for me personally as well. I’ve made a friend for life.” Speaking of new friendships, we couldn’t help but ask the pretty gal about her ‘old’ friendships — Ranbir Kapoor for instance, is she doing any film with him? “Not yet, but I would like to,” she says, without batting an eyelid. And on her wish-list is also a film with Salman Khan. That’s because, she clarifies, she hasn’t signed any film with the superstar till now. “Those were just rumours. But I’m looking forward to the day I work with him,” says the leggy lass. We’re sure Sallubhai is too!

They were too blunt -- which meant that they were both ineffective and collaterally damaging, inconveniencing many if not most regular travellers of precisely the sort that an India slowly opening itself to the world needs. If that was Headleys, and Lashkar-e-Toibas eventual aim, to put up roadblocks in the highways between this country and outside world that have become a crucial source of its growing prosperity, then the home ministrys immediate reactions will have helped them along. Fortunately, the medium-term reaction looks like going in a more useful direction. The basic big idea is that the home ministry will build up a centralised database of all visitors, one that will be continually updated in real-time with links to foreigners registration offices, immigration checkposts, and visa-issuing authorities abroad. The theory is sound: a system this comprehensive will allow for more targeted scrutiny of visitors of concern, and should allow for alarm to spread through the network if someone with Headleys profile comes visiting repeatedly. The plan is to eventually update this with biometric information and with data from airline databases. The entire project is expected to take four years. As a first step, three new visa-issuing systems will be set up in Islamabad, Dhaka, and London. However, the spirit in which this system is implemented will determine whether it is, in the end, as effective as it could be, or as problematically choked with meaningless red tape as what weve got now. T here is absolutely no doubt that more, finer, and better organised data will give Indias immigration authorities the space to simultaneously ensure that visitors are inconvenienced less while those with suspicious connections are watched more carefully. But only if the ministry and visa-issuing stations abroad want it to be so; the tools will only do what the workmen wish them to. There is nothing in this system that automatically ensures that, in the absence of political and bureaucrati c will, the blanket refusals of visas will stop, or even that harassment of hotels and travel agents will not start. Putting the infrastructure in place is nevertheless a start. And it is good to hear that the home ministry recognises that theres work to be done.

Lorenzo won in 43 min 54.873secs, some 3.517 seconds ahead of runner-up Casey Stoner of Australia riding a Ducati. Reigning world champion Valentino Rossi of Italy, riding a Yamaha, was third. Lorenzo was aided when countryman Dani Pedrosa, second in the overall points chase, crashed out on the 11th lap while leading with Lorenzo pressuring him front behind. "It was tough," Lorenzo said. "Dani Pedrosa did a great race. It was difficult to follow him but he made a mistake and crashed when he was on the maximum." Lorenzo went on to capture his sixth victory of the season, the first at the US course, and boosted his overall standings lead over Pedrosa to 72 points, 210-138, with Italian Honda rider Andrea Dovizioso third on 115. Stoner was content with a runner-up finish. "We are happy. We didnt expect much more than second place," he said. "At the start of the race, I felt OK. But I made a mistake and ran wide, lost the front again and the last time I ran really wide which wasnt good. "Every time I tried to step it up I didnt feel comfortable. I was braking later and later but was making mistakes." Rossi just missed the podium last week in his return after missing six weeks with a broken leg. That made his third-place effort much sweeter despite nagging pain from the injury. "Im very happy," Rossi said. "I may not look happy because I have pain everywhere. This podium is like a victory on a very difficult track for us. I want to thank everyone who has helped me get back on the podium as early as this after my accident." Pedrosa seized the lead from pole-sitter Lorenzo at the first turn but crashed out on the fifth turn of lap 11. Stoner chased Lorenzo, never worse than second this season, to the finish but could not catch him while Rossi passed Dovizioso for third with five laps to go to crack the podium ahead of his countryman in fourth.

Sabkush Headlines: Safari Autofill Full of Fail

Sabkush Headlines: Safari Autofill Full of FailSafari Autofill Full of Fail

Safaris Autofill feature, which can be set to automatically insert a users data such as name and address into Web forms, could expose users to theft of their personal information, according to security Planning for the next peak season? Ensure your website is fast, secure and available 24/7. Click here to learn how. expert Jeremiah Grossman. Grossman, the founder and CTO of security firm WhiteHat, wrote in his blog that the feature autofills HTML form text fields with specific attribute names such as "name," "company," "city," and "state." It works even though the victim has not entered this data on any website. Its been known since 2006 that the Autofill feature on a browser could be a security risk. Stealing Data With Safari Autofill Safari browser users can have their data stolen the moment they visit malicious websites, even if theyve not visited those sites before or entered any personal information, Grossman wrote. "All a malicious website would have to do to surreptitiously extract Address Book card data from Safari is dynamically create form text field with the aforementioned names, probably invisibly, and then simulate A-A keystroke events using JavaScript," Grossman wrote. Once the webform has been autofilled, the data can be sent to the attacker, Grossman wrote. "The entire process takes mere seconds and represents a major breach in online privacy," Grossman wrote. Multi-stage attacks, including email spam, spearphishing, stalking and blackmail, could be launched using this technique, Grossman wrote. Such attacks could be easily and cheaply distributed on a large scale using an advertising network "where likely no one would ever notice because its not exploit code designed to deliver rootkit payload," Grossman wrote. There is no guarantee this type of attack hasnt already taken place, he said. "This feature just makes it easier for criminals to do mass collections of information that they can later sell, and compromise your identity," said Rob Enderle, principal analyst at the Enderle Group. However, the Autofill attack cant obtain data beginning with a number, such as phone numbers or street addresses because "for some reason the data would not populate in the text field," Grossman wrote. Any Apple Polishing Yet? Grossman notified Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) on June 17 and received an autoresponse but hasnt heard from Apple since, he wrote. "Apple has been substantially less aggressive publicly with security issues than either Mozilla or Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) for over a decade," Enderle pointed out. "It seems to practice the dont ask, dont tell process of threat mitigation in general, which means we are never sure what they actually know with regard to problems," Enderle told MacNewsWorld. Perhaps Apple has good reason to downplay security threats. "The Mac market share has been small enough that it would take a large percentage of Mac users complaining for a problem to be seen as needing to be addressed," Randy Abrams, director, technical education at ESET, told MacNewsWorld. "I suspect that more than 90 percent of Mac users are completely unaware of the issue so, even if they did care, they dont know to care," Abrams added. Autofill Attack Targets Apparently, the attack doesnt work on the browser used in iOS, the operating system Apple uses for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, according to one readers comment on Grossmans blog. Further, some readers werent able to duplicate the attack on Safari 5, although others were. Other browsers may not be threatened by the Autofill attack. "I am not aware of the problem affecting other browsers," ESETs Abrams said. "I believe that Safari is unique in linking to the address book by default." Practicing Safe Mac Use The solution to this problem seems to be easy enough: Mac users just have to turn off the Autofill feature in their Safari browsers. "Thats true, but who wants to turn off Autofill?" Enderle asked. "That is one handy feature." However, turning off the Autofill feature isnt enough. "In theory, thats the solution, but users should delete the contents of their address book in the Mac OS and use a third-party address book thats not linked to a browser," ESETs Abrams said. Users should review the settings of their Web browsers and other applications, Abrams recommended. "Theres no guarantee that when the next version of Safari comes out, it wont revert to default settings," he pointed out. Even if users select another browser, such as Firefox, they need to check the default settings, Abrams warned. "Users will never be sure of remaining safe or maintaining their privacy if they do not review their browser settings and change them to enhance security and privacy from the lax default settings the browsers ship with," Abrams remarked. "Dont use autofill for information such as passwords, birth dates, Social Security numbers, credit card validation numbers and credit card expiration dates," Enderle said. "If you wouldnt put it on Facebook, it shouldnt be in Autofill." Nothing New Under the Sun? The danger of the Safari Autofill feature was disclosed as early as April 2009 by Swiss software developer and entrepreneur Patrice Neff. He wrote some HTML code to conduct an autofill attack that would steal a users birthdate and posted it on his blog. Indeed, the Autofill features dangers were being discussed on the Internet as far back as 2006. Why has nobody done anything about this? "The Autofill feature is really handy and people will often take a very real benefit when its offset only by a very murky risk," Enderle said.

Sabkush Headlines: I am a tough nut to crack, says ShahI am a tough nut to crack, says Shah

Shah, chargesheeted in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh Fake Encounter case by the CBI, vehemently claimed that he was innocent before moving to the CBI office in Gandhinagar to surrender. He said all charges against him were fabricated, adding that the Supreme Court-ordered CBI probe was engineered for a "political encounter of the Gujarat government". The former minister said the copy of the chargesheet was yet to be given to him and he came to know of the charges through the media. Asked how he would deal with the CBI interrogation, the BJP leader said, "Dont worry about me. I will prove quite tough (for CBI) to handle." On the Congress terming Sohrabuddin a petty criminal, he said: "If a person like Sohrabuddin who possessed 45 AK-47 rifles, hand grenades and ammunition is a petty criminal, then do they need the Pakistan Army to qualify as a terrorist?" He further said that against "only nine encounters" executed by it, the Gujarat Police has caught alive 400 offenders in the battle against terrorism. Ignoring other states and singling out Gujarat for encounter killings "is a big conspiracy against the Narendra Modi-led government", he said. The Congress could not digest the states progress and development, he added. Asked on the reasons for not appearing before CBI, he said there was no point in that because the Central agency was "busy photocopying" the chargesheet that was already prepared. He said he had applied for anticipatory bail because he was not given time to prepare to appear before CBI. "I received the summon at 11 am on July 22, asking me to appear by 1 pm. How was that possible? And then by 5 pm, they came up with the chargesheet, naming me as an accused. This means the chargesheet was ready even before they heard me," he said. Shah denied having the reported conversation with jailed IPS officer D G Vanzara in which he had allegedly told the latter that Sohrabuddins wife Kausarbi would prove dangerous for them. He said CBI had levelled the charges against him on the basis of a recorded statement of Vanzara in jail, adding that using a recorder in jail was illegal. Before leaving for the CBI office, he penned an "open letter" to the people of Guajrat, maintaining his innocence. "My police officers and I have been falsely implicated. I have done all possible good in my capacity as home minister," he wrote. Earlier, state BJP president R C Faldu briefed the media as originally announced. He said the CBI probe indicated that the Congress was unable to digest the "all-round progress of Gujarat under Modi". Amit Shah has been kept in Tilak Yard of the Sabarmati Central Jail, according to sources. This is the same yard in which former BJP minister Dr Maya Kodnani was kept after her arrest in the 2002 riots case. Sources added that two prime accused in the case, D G Vanzara and Rajkumar Pandian, visited him in the chamber of the jail superintendent. Since the CBI issued its first summons against him on Friday, Shah had been untraceable. Till 2 pm today, when he drove into the CBI office from the party headquarters, accompanied by senior state BJP leaders. Having denounced the charges against him as politically motivated at the party office earlier, he was quiet as he walked into the old Secretariat building, housing the CBI office on the third floor, as were his supporters. Tense CBI officials, including DIG P Kandaswamy and SP Amitabh Thakur, however, hastened down the stairs and despite Shahs suggestion that he be taken to the agency office, told him he was being taken to court. Asked by Magistrate Dave if he had any complaints against the CBI, Shah told his lawyer to convey that since his arrest no interrogation had been done by the agency. Shahs lawyer Devang Nanavati said he was surprised. "The CBI has not even asked for Shahs custody. This shows that the CBI has no material against him and it is a concocted case," he said. Shah told the media that his statements should be videographed "second-by-second" and should be produced before the court as he was not afraid of any legal process. Shah said that while he still didnt have a copy of the chargesheet, he had come to know of the charges through the media. The BJP and he would fight a legal and political battle to "expose them" in court, he said. He maintained that he had applied for anticipatory bail only because he was not given time to prepare to appear before the CBI. Shah denied having the reported conversation with jailed IPS officer D G Vanzara, in which he had allegedly told the latter that Kausar Bi was going to prove dangerous. Attacking the CBI for basing the charges against him on a recorded statement of Vanzara in jail, he kept maintaining that using a recorder in jail was illegal.

Role Play: If it turns him/her on, on the screen, imagine how much more effective it will be in real life. Think up which is your partner’s favourite movie love scene and surprise them by recreating it in your bedroom. You don’t necessarily have to get each and every detail right, instead work on your own look. Hands-Free: It’s quite amazing how a simple touch can indeed arouse your partner. But instead of using your hands, like you always do, try to arouse him/her by using some other body part. Tell your partner it’s a hands-free night and be as innovative as you can, you’ll be surprised at how much he/she will love it. Talk the deed : There’s a reason why phone sex is so popular, words can indeed be an instant turn on. Ask your partner what s/he’s wearing and describe, as sexily as you can, what you are wearing and then, talk about how you’d like to undress him/her. Tell him/her about your secret fantasy and get them to tell you theirs and then discuss how you could indulge in it while in the bedroom. Set it up: Put out those harsh, artificial lights and opt for some scented candles, scatter petals of roses all over the bed and whatever else you know will work to make the night even more interesting. Yes, this is where you need to do the settings for those fantasies that you and your partner have discussed. For that element of surprise, lead your partner into the bedroom with his/her eyes covered. The surprise factor: Nothing works better to work up the passion than leading him/her on. Leave a note on the TV remote that says ‘Turn me on instead’. Leave directions, in the form of pieces of your clothing from the front door to your bedroom. Let him/her find you laying seductively on the bed and enjoy the action that follows.

You may know that we have started posting about Female Figure models and Athlete Models and we also post some post about female ice skating models. And now I am with female skating model Nancy Kerrigan pictures and biography from Wikipedia. Enjoy. Nancy Ann Kerrigan (Nancy Kerrigan) was born October 13, 1969. Nancy Kerrigan is a two-time American Olympic figure skating medalist and 1993 U.S. champion. Nancy Kerrigan was born in Woburn, Massachusetts to Daniel Kerrigan and Brenda M. (Schultz) Kerrigan. She began ice skating at age six at the local rink in her place of birth of Stoneham, Massachusetts. Her two older brothers, Michael and Mark, played hockey, but hockey was not considered an appropriate activity for girls at that time so Nancy Kerrigan took up figure skating instead. Nancy Kerrigan did not start private lessons until age eight, and won her first figure skating medal at age nine. The Kerrigan family was of modest means. Kerrigan’s father, a welder, sometimes worked three jobs to fund her skating career, and also drove the ice resurfacer at the local rink in exchange for lessons. Kerrigan was coached by Theresa Martin until she was 16, then after a brief period with Denise Morrissey began working with Evy and Mary Scotvold. They remained her coaches through the rest of her competitive career. Kerrigan began to reach prominence at the national level when she placed 4th at the junior level at the 1987 U. S. Figure Skating Championships. She made an early impression as a strong jumper but was comparatively weak in compulsory figures. Kerrigan made her senior debut the following season, moving up the national rankings each year: 12th in 1988, 5th in 1989, and 4th in 1990. However, she continued to be held back by compulsory figures until they were eliminated from competitions after the 1990 season.

Sabkush Headlines: Security Gurus Scream for Microsoft Shell Patch

Sabkush Headlines: Security Gurus Scream for Microsoft Shell PatchSecurity Gurus Scream for Microsoft Shell Patch

A Windows Shell flaw for which Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) released a security Planning for the next peak season? Ensure your website is fast, secure and available 24/7. Click here to learn how. advisory Friday could lead to widespread attacks, security experts fear. The vulnerability attacks through Windows shortcuts, icons for which are displayed on users computer screens. It can be exploited through removable drives or over computer networks. Microsoft has suggested some workarounds, but security exports point out that these have problems of their own. The Windows Shell Flaw In Windows 95 and later, the Windows Shell is explorer.exe, which resides in the Windows folder or in one of its subfolders, such as System32. This displays the icons on the users desktop, the taskbar, the Start Menu and the file browser. It launches other programs on request. For example, the shell launches Microsoft Word when a user clicks on the Word icon on his desktop screen. The icon for an application is the link to it. Its also known as a "shortcut." Shortcuts are implemented as files with an .LNK extension. Sometimes, the Windows Shell does not correctly validate specific parameters of the shortcut when trying to load it, and this is the vulnerability in the shell, Microsoft said in Security Advisory 2286198, released Friday. Attackers who exploit the vulnerability could run arbitrary code on a victims system. If the user has administrative user rights, the attacker could take over the system and have full user rights, which will let him install programs; view, change or delete data; or create new accounts. Exploiting the Flaw The vulnerability exists in every version of Windows. It can be exploited by a worm that ESET calls "Win32/Stuxnet." Stuxnet uses .LNK files placed on USB drives to automatically execute malware as soon as the operating system on the users PC reads the files, Microsoft said. It first injects a backdoor worm called "Win32/Stuxnet A" onto the victims PC. It then installs two Trojans onto the PC. One, WinNT/Stuxnet.A, hides the presence of the .LNK files. The other is WinNT/Stuxnet B. This injects formerly encrypted data blobs -- files with the .tmp extension -- into memory. These serve different purposes, some being .LNK files, others drivers and still others propagation files that spread the worm. The files were signed with a Verisign digital certificate belonging to hardware manufacturer Realtek Semiconductor. This led to speculation that the certificate could have been forged or stolen. Microsoft and Verisign have revoked the certificate with Realteks support. "ESET has seen tens of thousands of encounters with this worm," Randy Abrams, director, technical education at ESET, told TechNewsWorld. This doesnt mean infections, as the company gets reports when the threat is successfully blocked. The greatest number of reports has come from the United States, Iran and Russia, but "at least a dozen other countries" have also been the source of reports, Abrams said. USB-Borne Poison The threat spreads "very well" because people use USB drives to share files, Abrams warned. "I see the potential for an uber-Conficker type worm using the .LNK vulnerability and the other propagation methods Conficker demonstrated as highly effective," Abrams explained. The Conficker worm, also known as "Downup," "Downadup" and "Kido," infected millions of government, business and home computers in more than 200 countries, and used many advanced techniques to conduct its attacks and escape detection. It has since been contained. Security experts are concerned because the Win32/Stuxnet worm is used in targeted attacks to penetrate supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, especially in the U.S. and Iran. SCADA systems are supervisory and monitoring systems used in industries and are part of our national critical infrastructure. U.S. security experts have been asking the federal government to tighten up controls on our SCADA systems for some time now. Experts are particularly concerned because the worm uses a known default password that protects the database used in the Simatic WinCC SCADA system from Siemens (NYSE: SI). Fight the Power Microsoft has suggested some workarounds to avoid infection. One is disabling the display of icons for shortcuts by using Registry Editor. However, this can cause "serious problems" that may require users to reinstall their operating systems and users have to take this option at their own risk, Microsoft warned. Another option is to disable the WebClient server. This blocks the most likely remote attack vector through the web Distributed Authoring and Versioning (WebDAV) client service. However, disabling WebDAV will only prompt users for confirmation before they open arbitrary programs downloaded from the Internet. Remote attackers who successfully exploited the Shell vulnerability will still be able to cause Microsoft Outlook to run programs on the victims computer. Further, it will not transmit WebDAV requests and cause other problems. "Microsofts suggestions work, but also remove some functionality," Abrams said. "Fully following those suggestions will break some line-of-business applications. The mitigation techniques do not fix the underlying problem which is a flaw in how Windows handles the icons of .LNK files. A patch is needed, and should be issued for all affected operating systems, even those which are no longer supported." Enterprises using Microsoft SharePoint will not be able to disable the WebDAV WebClient service, Sophos security researcher Chester Wisniewski warned. Microsoft is working on the problem, Jerry Bryant, a group manager at the software giant, told TechNewsWorld. "Microsoft will be providing a security update for the vulnerability described in Security Advisory 2286198," he said. "However, the timeline for release has yet to be determined." Microsoft is continuing to look into mitigations and workarounds, Bryant added.

Sabkush Headlines: Yuvraj, Others Face Rs 1 Cr IPL Tax Case

Sabkush Headlines: Yuvraj, Others Face Rs 1 Cr IPL Tax CaseYuvraj, Others Face Rs 1 Cr IPL Tax Case

Chandigarh: The central excise department, Chandigarh region, will soon issue notices to four cricket players, including Yuvraj Singh, for payment of Rs 1.17 crore as service tax on the income from the first and the second IPL seasons. "Demand notices to four players including Yuvraj Singh, VRV Singh, Sunny Sohal and Uday Kaul playing for Kings XI Punjab franchise will be issued by either July end or first week of August for the payment of service tax," an official of the Central Excise Department, who is involved in investigating the IPL case, said here. A decision to raise tax demand from cricket players follows the non-disclosure of breakup of earnings by players from IPL matches. "These players have not declared about how much they earned from endorsements and how much they earned from playing matches even after notices were serviced to them. But now we have decided to levy tax on income, whether it is match fees, earned by players from IPL-I and II season after assessing their income on individual basis," he said. The department has assessed service tax amounting to Rs 96.43 lakh on income of Yuvraj Singh, Rs 11.33 lakh on VRV Singh and Rs 4.53 lakh each on Sunny Sohal and Uday Kaul for first and the second IPL season. According to the official, Yuvraj Singh claimed earning of Rs 4.25 crore while VRV Singh, Uday Kaul and Sunny Sohal got Rs 50 lakh, Rs 20 lakh and Rs 20 lakh respectively from the first season of IPL. "For calculating the service tax, the income in the second season is considered the same as that in the first season," he informed. In February this year, the department served notices to these players seeking details regarding total payment and the breakup indicating money received from sponsorships and earnings as match fees. It had also demanded a copy of the agreement signed by the players with their franchise owner, total payment received from the owners, service tax registration number if obtained, details of service tax paid, copies of service tax returns if filed and complete books of accounts and balance sheet. The department again sent reminders to these players in April and June. However, only three players, including Yuvraj Singh, VRV Singh and Uday Kaul, replied to the central excise department notices, saying that they received only match fees, hence no service tax was applicable on their income.

Sabkush Headlines: Watch before you dietWatch before you diet

At a family wedding recently, the bridegrooms sister didnt show up because of severe dehydration caused by a crash diet to fit into the most cruel and unforgiving of garments, the sari blouse. Devastated by those awful hooks simply not hooking up, she decided that dire situations needed drastic measures, and so ensued a trip to a popular weight loss expert in Delhi who recommended a version of the Red Carpet Diet: no carbs, no milk, no sugar but plenty of water and, voila, just three days later she was assured the wretched blouse would indeed button and she could dance at her brothers baraat. Instead, she found herself on the drip, in hospital. The Red Carpet Diet is a broad term popular among international celebrities who need quick solutions for weight loss, to look good for specific occasions. The three-day Red Carpet Diet, however, involves some sort of pills. Both need to be approached with caution. All dieticians provide quick-fix ideas, but the three-day solution is the fastest Ive heard of. That also makes it the most dangerous. Basically, you semi-starve for three days or just stick to a high-protein diet and you knock off 4-5 pounds so you fit into that flirty dress youve been eyeing and look great for one evening. Since the bodys gone into shock from being deprived of its regular nutrition, the weight falls fairly rapidly. At least to begin with. Even in Delhi, there are many converts to the Red Carpet Diet to look good for a party on Saturday night. As long as the results are tangible there will be takers, no matter how faddish and weird diets like this can be. The sari, despite its voluminous folds, turns into a litmus test for fitness. With the new style of tight, figure-hugging satin-silk petticoats and skimpy blouses, theres absolutely no room for error, or fat. Unlike a spandex swimsuit that stretches to accommodate bulge, the blouse is stubbornly resilient and will not budge. We live in an age where were constantly bombarded with information and we all know the facts: exercise is good for you, eating junk is not. But were exposed to divine delicacies all the time and not succumbing is very, very hard. Weight issues are great equalisers since most people are dissatisfied with their size and almost everyone around is on a diet at some point. Aishwarya Rai looks positively podgy sometimes, and Kareena Kapoors fainting on film sets has been well documented. There are no statistics available on India, but in the US, one out of two women is on a diet at any given time and one out of three "normal dieters" will become pathological dieters, which means theyll spend most of their lives on Atkins, South Beach or some such trendy diet with the same depressing results, first weight loss, then gain. But then as Kate Moss puts it, "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels." Its worth a shot.

Which actress wouldn’t want a break from donning the greasepaint once in a while? Everyone would... but Katrina Kaif says she has no qualms sitting in front of her make-up artist and getting decked up every single day of her life. That’s because I don’t need to apply much make-up. I get done in a few minutes and besides the team that works on me is so good that I have fun all the time,” she said. The other actresses, who have to apply layers and layers of make-up to hide their flaws, must be truly envious. If Kat is hinting at anyone in particular, then she might end up having more enemies now.

Sabkush Headlines: Rains shut down roads in DelhiRains shut down roads in Delhi

Traffic on many arterial roads of Delhi was hit by water-logging and vehicles stalled by water entering the engines. Ring Road was undoubtedly the worst hit, with Brar Square, Wazirabad, Majnu Ka Tila, Hanuman Setu, ISBT, Moti Bagh, Aurobindo Marg, Vikas Marg, Rajouri Garden, Pitam Pura, Madhuban Chowk and Punjabi Bagh reporting very slow traffic movement till about 2 pm."The traffic situation worsened once too much water entered the roads," said Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Satyendra Garg. In fact, traffic came to a complete standstill outside Chhattrasal Stadium, under the Moolchand flyover, on the Ashram-DND flyover, Nangal Dairy in Delhi Cantonment, outside the CISF picket near Indira Gandhi International Airports Terminal 2, near the DTC bus stand in Jaronda Kalan and outside Majnu Ka Tila police station. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi, on its part, maintained that unlike the previous occasions, flooded areas were promptly attended to and quickly drained. The civic body, which faced flak after heavy rains on July 12 caused havoc on roads, said all zonal deputy commissioners, chief engineers and other officers were out in the areas un der their jurisdiction supervising the field-level staff operating the pumps. The MCD received 112 complaints of water-logging on Tuesday, mostly from Rohini, West and South zones. It received 17 complaints of fallen trees and three complaints of building collapse. In the City zone, there were complaints of water-logging from Pragati Maidan, Yamuna Bazar, Jama Masjid to Lal Quila Marg, Mathura Road, Delhi Gate and Chandni Chowk. Gurgaon, where of late citizens are becoming all too familiar with the sinking feeling, was in no way better off. Several localities in the Millennium City, including the City bus stand, Sector 10, DLF areas and Sushant Lok, were under water for most of Tuesday. However, as always, the worst-affected area remained the Hero Honda Chowk where there was 1.5 feet water on the main carriageway. Poor planning and absence of basic infrastructure have only managed to worsen the situation. "In this part of the city, HUDA began digging to lay stormwater drains barely a month ago. They dug up the entire neighbourhood, but have not connected the drains to the main outlet yet. Which means every time it rains, water fills up in these partially-completed drains and overflows onto the road. They should have started the work earlier," said Harcharanjit Singh, a Sector 23-A resident. Top officials from the HUDA and the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon have paid several visits to the flooded Expressway, which witnessed traffic jam that lasted many hours delaying commuters on their way to work. "We held a meeting with the HUDA administrator, the Municipal Commissioner and several senior engineers on Tuesday and have identified the problem areas," said Gurgaon Deputy Commissioner Rajender Kataria. Gurgaon Joint Commissioner of Police Alok Mittal said: "We are doing the best we can to tackle the traffic situation, but there are certain limitations to what we can do. We deploy additional staff especially on days like these. Not only do they have to stand in knee-deep water for hours, but also face abuse from the commuters."

Sabkush Lifestyle News: I am very busty for my age.I am very busty for my age

I am very busty for my age, because of which I get too conscious each time I wear jeans and t-shirts. But I don’t want to wear salwar-kameez either, for I don’t want to look too mature too soon, and also because I think it doesn’t suit my nature too. Please suggest what can I wear to sabotage the ‘heaviness’ on my chest and yet look trendy. - Shivangi, 19, Delhi Ans. Being busty is a blessing, which you will realise later, but it makes the best of us uncomfortable. T-shirts with V-necks are great for making you look less heavier. Also, you can wear fitted stuff but always wear a minimiser bra underneath if you are conscious. Never wear anything that cuts right below the bust or anything with a high collar. Try loose tops or tops flared right from the neckline. You can wear lovely textured tops that cover the bust area but make sure it is not stretch material. Also, pan shaped necklines work well, the more collar bone you show, the less busty you look. (If you have any such fashion query, do share them with us)

Sabkush Lifestyle News: Bohemian rhapsody.

Sabkush Lifestyle News: Bohemian rhapsody.Bohemian rhapsody

Darn right, that — be done with your spanking ’n’ sparkling style sensibilities or at least scuff ’em up a bit around those structured edges. Dolling up is no longer cool and no, just dressing down won’t do it either. To set the fashion meter ringing this season, go boho! Colleges are a melting pot of ideas and equally so, a mélange of mega brands. So, what do you do to make yourself visible in a crowd of squealing Barbie dolls? Don’t give two hoots. And voila, you’re a boho in the making! Student Twaritha S nods in agreement. “I love the boho chic style because only those who truly don’t care can carry it off. When I feel boho, I wear one vibrant piece of clothing and accessorise it with gypsy jewellery. I scrunch up my hair carelessly, line my eyes with kohl and I’m set.” So, how can you make the boho look your own and what are the thumb rules to be followed? Nazia Syed, designer, lists, “The best thing about going boho is that there are no thumb rules. But in spite of being a look that seems effortless, you can also easily go OTT. Long skirts, printed tunics and faded jeans are simple boho pieces but accessories like chunky bangles, worn-out chappals, head bands, hobo bags and scarves are essential too.” Made famous by stars like Kate Moss and Sienna Miller (in fact, adherents of this trend are called ‘Siennas’), the boho look has been sported by several celebrities across the globe. Theatre actress Reshmi John says, “I love the way Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen dress. They are so moneyed and yet look like they’ve just woken up from bed and thrown on whatever they found in the room; it is very boho grunge. Back home, only Sonam Kapoor comes even a little close to carrying off the look.” But before you dismiss the whole bohoho as a female-domain brouhaha, stop right there. Aping actors like Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp, the men too are giving their crisp shirts and well-pressed trousers a miss in favour of worn-to-death jeans, airy t-shirts and rugged ’n’ ragged scarves. “I love wearing plaid shirts and old jeans with worn-out leather boots,” says boho aficionado Rahul Kumar, “The style requires that we look smart without being too groomed. Accessories like ropey wristbands, wood-bead chains, strappy sandals and big sunglasses lend the gypsy element to the look.” Designer Sidney Sladen for his part cannot fathom how anyone, let alone a guy, can consciously go boho. “I am not a fan of this fashion. I think it looks plain frumpy and takes away from fashion what is due to it. It is a very callous and shabby look — why would anyone want to look like a gypsy? At least the women can get away with it, but men who attempt the boho look are plain silly!” he laughs. And then there is a section of snobbery that feels boho is a state of mind rather than a state of dress (or de-dress). Student Sangeetha Kumar concludes, “Carefully adopting a boho look is as unboho as possible. Only those who are truly free-spirited with a give-a-damn attitude can carry off an authentic boho chic look. As for the others, they will continue to be slaves to fashion.”

Remember Merlin, the most famous wizard of all wizard lore, long before Harry Potter came into being? Well, Merlin has a bunch of good and bad followers who have been playing around on terra ferma for almost 1,400 years. This time round, the game gets a bit too destructive: armageddon. And its left to good wizard Balthazar (Nicholas Cage) to save the world from bad wizard Horvath (Alfred Molina) by finding the new age messiah. And who is he? Nerdy New York student Dave Butler (Jay Baruchel), known as the Prime Merlinian, with palms of fire.... Movie Review: This ones a simple summer flick that keeps the popcorn crisp. Of course, the story isnt original and does fill you with a sense of deja vu, even as Nicholas Cage makes you wonder what exactly is his career plan. But then, theres Alfred Molina on the other side who seems to be having so much fun playing the mean wizard, he fills your heart with devilish glee. Watching Molinas antics as he tries to unleash his fury and dabble with gargoyles that change into dragons and mirrors that capture him in crowded NY washrooms sure is uproarious fun. Add to this the geeky Jay Baruchel with his laid-back charms and his sleepy super-hero act, and you have enough to keep the minutes ticking.

Normally, when a train approaches a station for a halt, it comes in at a speed of about 20-40 kmph at the outer signal and slows down to about 20 kmph at the first `touching point of the station. But the Sealdah-bound Uttarbanga Express had clocked an unexplainable 60 kmph at the outer signal. With this speed it would have been near impossible to stop at the station. Why?Preliminary probe has also indicated that Uttarbanga Express was moving at a speed of over 60 kms per, nearly 40 kms per hour more than the limit, and overshot the signal resulting in the fatal incident. "Prime facia, it appears the Uttarbanga Express was speeding at 63 kmph at the time of collision. This was unusual that the driver was accelerating at more than 60 kmph into a station despite it being a scheduled stoppage for it," the official said. The Sealdah-bound Uttarbanga Express that was running 25 minutes ahead of its scheduled time while rolling into Sainthia. Despite being ahead of schedule, why was the train travelling at abnormally high speed when it approached Sainthia station? Railway authorities have been left perplexed as to why the driver and the assistant driver of the Uttarbanga Express failed to heed frantic announcements being made over the loudspeakers to control the speed of the train. The Ranchi-bound Vananchal Express, which was running five hours late, had just begun to leave the Sainthia station. This means another train cannot come on the same line as the signal would have been red for an incoming train at the outer. The home signal was not given, claimed Assistant Station Master Chakraborty. So, was the signalling system tampered with? Even the answer is yes, there is no answer as to why the Uttarbanga Express was at such a great speed while approaching the station. On seeing the Uttarbanga Express coming at such a high speed, the assistant station master had reportedly used the used loudspeakers at the station asking the driver of the Uttarbanga to immediately apply brakes. There was no reaction from the driver or his assistant. So were the driver and the assistant driver sleeping or not fully conscious? A few minutes earlier, the driver of the Uttarbanga Express had correctly halted the train at previous station. How come he and his assistant went into a sudden sleep? Driver M C Dey along with assistant driver N K Mandal died on the spot in the accident. Dey seemed to have even overlooked the speed restriction of 30 kmph on a bridge just ahead of the station and was racing ahead, the official said. Was Dey over-stressed? No, say railway officials. "Dey had an unblemished accident-free record and was promoted recently. Moreover he had adequate rest before taking charge of the train at Malda station, five hours before the accident," the official said. Prior to the accident, Dey had a conversation with the Railway Station staff at Rampurhat, which falls just ahead of Sainthia, and that showed that he was in absolute control of the train, ruling out the possibility of his being in inebriated condition, the official said. Initial reports said that the driver did not use the brake or make any effort to apply the brake - a practice done while approaching a station. Both of them were sitting on their chairs at the time of accident. Any normal person will stand up and try to jump off the train. But they did not make any effort to save their lives by jumping off the train. Why did they not do this? Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee, who reached the site of the mishap, expressed her "strong suspicion" over the cause of the disaster. "We have some doubts in our mind. Whatever happened is apparently not an unorchestrated development," she said. What are these suspicions? Left hand, Maoists or just a lame excuse? Railway Board Chairman Vivek Sahai told media persons that the railways would shortly use anti-collision device. And then he added: the anti-collision device was very costly

According to Fox News, here are 10 things that you didnt know about men and sex: 1. Trapped Sperm Not all sperm go racing for the egg at once. Once sperm has been deposited into the vaginal canal, some of them are temporarily trapped in a semen coagulate or clot. Eventually, they are decoagulated by enzymes, which set them free to swim about a females reproductive system. This clotting, according to scientists, is meant to pace the release of sperm into the uterus, increasing the chance that one of these sperms will reach the egg and fertilise it. 2. Oxytocin affects males too It is believed that oxytocin affects females during sex (and breast-feeding). But this cuddle hormone, released by both sexes during intimacy, is also found to influence males. Research from Switzerland found that oxytocin is associated with increased feelings of trust in males. 3. High testosterone = Less sex While higher testosterone levels is typically considered a good thing for men when it comes to their sex drive, still researchers continually found that males with higher testosterone levels marry less often, are more abusive in their marriages and divorce more regularly. In fact, married men see more action than single men. 4. Death during sex has a prototype While examining the incidence of death during sex, a 1975 study discovered a unique pattern in males: the "deceased is usually married; he is not with a spouse and in unfamiliar surroundings," and death usually occurs after "a big meal with alcohol." Another study in 1989 found further evidence supporting the extramarital sex bit. Fourteen of the 20 cases of "la mort damour," or coital death, happened during an affair.

Sabkush Headlines: Rain washes out second days play in India-Sri Lanka TestRain washes out second days play in India-Sri Lanka Test

Sri Lanka remained on their overnight score of 256 for two and the washout has now greatly diminished the prospects of a result in Muttiah Muralitharans swansong Test. The outfield was already wet due to overnight showers and things only got worse due to more rain this morning. The brief appearance made by the sun in the afternoon, which prompted the ground staff to take off the covers, turned out to be a false dawn as it started pouring soon after, leaving the match officials with no choice but to call off the days proceedings at about 1500 hrs (local Time). It is monsoon season in Sri Lanka right now and the weatherman has predicted overcast conditions for all five days of the match. The Test has risen in profile as veteran Sri Lankan off-spinner Muralitharan is set to bid adieu to his 18-year-old career at the end of it but rains gods are threatening to play spoilsport. The Lankans have dominated whatever little play has been possible so far. Captain Kumar Sangakkara and Tharanga Paranavitana struck centuries on the opening day as Sri Lanka laid the foundation for a mammoth first innings against a lacklustre India. Sangakkara (103) notched up his 22nd century while Paranavitana (110 batting) scored his maiden ton, exposing Indias bowling failities to pile up 256 for two on a rain-truncated first day. Electing to bat, the Sri Lankan batsmen capitalised on easy batting conditions at the Galle International Stadium to take control of the match. It has been a miserable outing so far for the Indians with a depleted bowling attack struggling to make any impact on the Sri Lankan batsmen who scored at a brisk pace under overcast conditions. India removed Sangakkara early in the final session, when he holed out to Sachin Tendulkar off part-timer Virender Sehwag. Tillakaratne Dilshan (25) was the only other Sri Lankan batsman to lose his wicket when he was dismissed by Abhimanyu Mithun. Sangaakkaras 103 came from 145 balls with the help of 12 fours and it was his fourth century against India. He also went past West Indian Gordon Greenidge and Englishman Colin Cowdrey to become the 23rd most prolific batsman. The Indian attack without strike bowler Zaheer Khan and S Sreesanth, was at the receiving end of a solid Sri Lankan batting display and went wicketless in the whole of the extended second session.

Sabkush Headlines: Apple Rivals Reject Tarring With iPhone 4 Brush

Sabkush Headlines: Apple Rivals Reject Tarring With iPhone 4 Brush"My belief is the demand for liquidity will increase substantially in the second half of this year," ICICI Bank CEO and Managing Director Chanda Kochhar said on the sidelines of a CII function.

"So, you would see some gradual increase in interest rate on the lending side over the next one year," she said.

Asked about the initial public offering (IPO) plans of the bank's subsidiary ICICI Securities, she said, "There is nothing in the offfing. Nothing in this fiscal."

ICICI Securities is ICICI Bank's broking and advisory unit which has pioneered an online share trading platform in India.

On base rate, Kochhar said that it has already been announced and lending rates are getting realligned with base rate.

"Immediately you will not see change in effective rate just because of the announcement of base rate," she said.

Speaking about the current liquidity situation, she said, "It is sufficient."

"As I am seeing a lot of economic activity coming back there would be a lot of credit demand in the second half that is when I think some of the excess liquidity that is there will go out," Kochhar said.

On inflation, she said it is something that the economy needs to monitor as it is becoming widespread and is not just food related but has spread to other sectors as well.

"My feeling is as (production) capacity gets created in the country and supply improves that is the best way of correcting inflation. So, over a period one would see a very gradual correction of inflation taking place," she said.

Asked about her expectation from the Reserve Bank's policy review, scheduled for July 27, she said there is a need to balance between checking inflation and ensuring that growth goes back to the old level of 9 per cent.

London: Welsh actress Catherine Zeta Jones has advised single people not to give up on love. The 40-year-old actress, who plays a divorced mother who falls for a younger man (Justin Bartha) in romantic comedy The Rebound, claimed falling in love after a divorce or break-up could be better than the first time. "It’s so great when you see these people finding love again, second time round - so many people say to me second time rounds really best," The Mirror quoted Zeta Jones said. "I don’t really want to get there actually, but I think that’s what both men and women can relate to. You will find love again if you put yourself out there to be loved and to love," she added. Zeta Jones, Michael Douglas second wife, likes the message of the film that you can find love again. "What’s enduring and what’s universal to the piece is that divorce and the break up of relationships dont just happen to women - and the emotions that come out of that dont just happen to women. It happens to men too," the Academy award-winning actress said. "Everyone thinks, ‘Oh the divorced woman, OMG, she’s got two kids, poor baby’, but it happens on both sides," she added.
