Tendulkar praises team effort
Tendulkar hit an unbeaten 200, the first ever double century in ODIs, as India claimed an emphatic 153-run victory to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. The Little Master built partnerships with Karthik (79), Yusuf Pathan (36) and Dhoni (68) as India reach a mammoth total of 401 for three. "I thought I was stroking the ball well, timing the ball well. The ball was coming nicely on to the bat," Tendulkar told Sky Sports 1. "Every over a big shot was being played and was being played consistently. Because of Dinesh and MS we were able to pick up a big total. "I dont know how to react to this," he added. "I would like to dedicate this double hundred to all the people of India who stood with me for the last 20 years. I really appreciate their support. This is for all the people in India." The 36-year-old, who was presented with a silver bat as a reward for 20 years in the game and will have a pavilion at the Gawalior ground named after him, claimed it was not until he was 25 runs short that he felt a double hundred was possible.
